![]() Going into civil/structural engineering at VU and Purdue was a sort of natural progression in that path. I worked for a historic restoration construction company prior to starting college at VU and enjoyed my time doing work in the field on restoration of existing masonry buildings. My interests have always leaned toward the construction and engineering industry. Once my application was accepted, I met with an advisor who had received all of my VU coursework, and we planned a schedule of classes for my two years at Purdue. I submitted my transfer application as typical. My advisors at VU had a list of courses that I would need to transfer into (the Purdue Lyles School of) Civil Engineering. The agreement follows the history of student success in pursuing education from Vincennes University to Purdue. Students must adhere to the guidelines to be eligible for direct admissions. Vincennes students are expected to complete their associate degree work to be eligible for direct admissions to Purdue.ĭirect admission prerequisites such as grade point average and required courses differ among the 15 engineering programs in which students at Purdue can major. He credits the 2+2 Pathways program for allowing him to live at home in Jasper, Indiana, while he attended Vincennes University the first two years before transitioning to Purdue to complete his degree.
